Addictive Caramel Corn Puffs
Kathy's Recipe
Ingredients
2 Sticks Butter
2 Cups Brown Sugar
½ Cup Karo Syrup (I use dark)
½ teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
3 Bags Cheetos Butter Corn Puffs or 2 Bags Aldi Butter Corn Puffs
Directions
① Preheat oven to 250°.
② Pour the corn puffs into a large pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. (Use two cake pans if you don't have a large enough pan.)
③ In a large saucepan, bring butter, brown sugar and Karo to a boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, salt and baking soda. (This will cause the mixture to bubble up.)
④ Pour the mixture over the corn puffs and stir until well coated.
⑤ Bake at 250° for 1 hour. Turn and stir every 15 minutes. Allow to cool and break apart any large clumps.
To store, place in a sealed air tight container.
