Addictive Caramel Corn Puffs

Kathy's Recipe

Ingredients

2 Sticks Butter
2 Cups Brown Sugar
½ Cup Karo Syrup (I use dark)
½ teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
3 Bags Cheetos Butter Corn Puffs or 2 Bags Aldi Butter Corn Puffs

Directions

Preheat oven to 250°.
Pour the corn puffs into a large pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. (Use two cake pans if you don't have a large enough pan.)
In a large saucepan, bring butter, brown sugar and Karo to a boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, salt and baking soda. (This will cause the mixture to bubble up.)
Pour the mixture over the corn puffs and stir until well coated.
Bake at 250° for 1 hour. Turn and stir every 15 minutes. Allow to cool and break apart any large clumps.
To store, place in a sealed air tight container.
