Brownies

Ingredients


6 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 Cup Shortening
2 Cups Sugar
4 Eggs, Slightly Beaten
1½ Cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Chopped Pecans (if desired)
2 teaspoons Vanilla

Directions


Blend together in bowl the cocoa, shortening, and sugar.
Add the slightly beaten eggs.
Sift together and mix into the other ingredients the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Beat in the chopped nuts and vanilla.
Place in a greased 9"×13" pan.
Bake in a 350° oven for approximately 27 minutes. Do not overbake.
