Brownies
Ingredients
6 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 Cup Shortening
2 Cups Sugar
4 Eggs, Slightly Beaten
1½ Cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Chopped Pecans (if desired)
2 teaspoons Vanilla
Directions
① Blend together in bowl the cocoa, shortening, and sugar.
② Add the slightly beaten eggs.
③ Sift together and mix into the other ingredients the flour, baking powder, and salt.
④ Beat in the chopped nuts and vanilla.
⑤ Place in a greased 9"×13" pan.
⑥ Bake in a 350° oven for approximately 27 minutes. Do not overbake.
