Cornbread Dressing

Getha's Holiday Recipe

Ingredients

14-oz. Package Of Herb Seasoned Bread Cubes
15-20 Slices of Dried White Bread Cut in Cubes (Cut off Crusts)
Slices of Cornbread (I make a regular recipe of Cornbread using about ¾ of it.)
1½ teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
1 Large Onion
5 Ribs of Celery
4 Hardboiled Eggs
1 Can Chicken Broth
1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
Drippings from Turkey (I just judge by getting bread mixture plenty moist.)

Directions

Prepare cubed bread and cornbread (crumble after cool) the day before and place in a large mixing bowl or pan.
Add salt, pepper, and sage and let set overnight.
Next day purée onion and celery in the chicken broth in blender.
Add to bread mixture along with cream of chicken soup and chopped eggs.
After turkey has cooked long enough to make drippings, drain broth into dressing mix until it is very moist (You can use another can of chicken broth if needed).
Put into two greased baking dishes.
Cook uncovered in 350° for approximately 40 minutes or until brown.
